The lovely Patti Fischer (hi Patti!) interviewed me for the Romance Reviews Today blog, and I was happy to spill the beans about my latest book, my author buddies, the hardest part of writing, and more. We’re also giving away three autographed copies of Once Upon A Christmas (winners to be drawn at random). So head on over, read the interview, and join the conversation!

I’m guest blogging today at RR@H Novel Thoughts & Book Talk!
We’re talking about men in romance novels. That’s right. We’re having an entire discussion about yummy, rough-and-ready, stubbled-or-not heroes! (Okay, so we’re not really talking about who prefers the whiskery look and who doesn’t. Not yet. But still. It’s going to be fun.)
Join us, won’t you? One lucky commenter (drawn at random) will also win a free autographed backlist book. Don’t you know someone who might like to get a free book? Come on!
Till later,

You know, the other day, one of my favorite readers (shout-out to Karin!) mentioned to me that she was having a hard time finding my historical romances in stores. Well, that bummed me out. Because I love those stories! I want everyone to read them! I want everyone to collect them and share them and pass them along to all their friends…in short, I want my books to circle the globe! (Insert maniacal laughter here <g>.)
But since that’s not likely to happen instantly (darn it), I got together with my team of friendly PR geniuses and brainstormed solutions. And here’s what we can up with…
As an interim solution (you know, until world Lisa-Plumley-books domination kicks in), I’m offering a special gift to all my readers. Starting today, you can download a free e-book edition of my first historical romance, Outlaw! It’s in Microsoft Reader format (sorry, my Web guru says this is the only format we can do for now), so if you don’t have it already, just download a free copy of Microsoft Reader software too. Then you’re all set!
Outlaw was originally published in February 1999. It’s been out of print and hard to find for a while, but it’s one of my favorite stories. So I’m psyched to bring it back to you now! Here’s a look at the original back cover copy:
He stepped out of the pages of a novel…
Mason Kincaid didn’t have time to rescue the fancy-fluff female stranded in the middle of Arizona Territory. He was hell-bent on a mission to reclaim his young son and his good name from the men who stole both. But even an outlaw couldn’t leave a lady alone in the desert—especially after she’d been accidentally dumped from the stagecoach he just held up. This ungrateful city woman instantly made his chivalry regrettable. For she was temptation and desire wrapped up in one troublesome package. Like it or not though, Miss Amelia O’Malley was along for the ride.
And swept her into adventure and love
A traveling book saleswoman, Amelia only wanted to prove herself to her father and earn a place in the family business. That determination was how she landed in a stagecoach to Tucson—and in the saddle with a notorious outlaw. This wasn’t the romantic bandit of a wild west adventure; this was a real flesh and blood man whose rugged face, powerful build, and gun at his hip spelled danger of all kinds. Certainly, there could be no future between an outlaw and a respectable lady. But surprises awaited this mismatched duo whose adventure together could be the beginning of a future destined to last…
Fun, right? I hope you’ll give Outlaw a try. And if you read Mason and Amelia’s story, please come back here and leave a note in the comments to tell me how you liked it. Otherwise, I’ll be wondering if anybody downloaded the darn thing.
Till next time,
Lisa
